The Protected Gets Justice

Last week, some very unlucky golfer and an even more unfortunate hawk made headlines when the golfer kills the hawk on his tenth swing. Whether or not it was accidental is still up in the air. But what amused and angered me was that the sentencing for killing a protected animal is at least a year in jail plus fines right off the bat. But as killing a fellow man? Even when it's blatantly first degree murder, the law when it deals with humans, will still require many many months of bs in court while that murderer is being housed and fed by tax payers. After many months, if not years until finally one side gets through all the 'legal' BS, the murderer will finally be sentenced or sometimes even set free.

It's good to be one of the protected.
